Home financing options definitely have been contracted over the last year, but for most Veterans we find that the changes have been beneficial. Between ‘99-’06, lenders were too quick to direct borrowers who would have qualified for a VA loan into a subprime or no-doc option. Now, out of necessity, a safer and more appropriate loan option is being used. We’ve been saying it all along . . . thanks for the comment.
